NUDAC Event Schedule
Current/Upcoming Events
Lake Street Church (walking distance of NU) will be hosting the DARFUR/DARFUR exhibit on Saturday, October 20 from 1-4pm.
The DARFUR/DARFUR exhibit consists of 170 photographs projected on a screen that inter-weave the rich culture and humanitarian crisis in Darfur and refugee camps in Chad.
Attendees, if they choose, will have an opportunity to donate sun cookers through the Solar Cooker Project. A $30 donation pays for 2 solar cookers (enough for one family), training and pot holders and pots. In this way, we hope the exhibit will foster a deeper understanding of the crisis in Darfur but also provide hope that there is something -- something very concrete -- that attendees can do in response.
